About the age calculator
This calculator gives your exact age as a calendar difference — the number of whole years, then whole months, then leftover days between your date of birth and the target date. That is the same convention a passport or a hospital form uses, and it is why the day count resets each month rather than simply dividing by 30.

How is my exact age calculated?
We count whole years from your birth date to the target date, then whole months, then the remaining days. If the day of the month has not arrived yet we borrow days from the previous month, which is why the result never shows a negative component.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. The day counts come from the real calendar distance between the two dates, so 29 February and every leap day in between are included automatically.
What if I was born on 29 February?
Your next birthday resolves to 1 March in non-leap years, since that is the day the calendar rolls over to. The total day, week and hour counts are unaffected.
How are the heartbeat figures worked out?
They multiply the total minutes you have been alive by an assumed resting rate of 70 beats per minute. Real heart rates vary a lot by age, fitness and activity, so treat it as an order-of-magnitude estimate rather than a medical figure.
